Alpaca Mania

The Wellington Wine harvest festival is about to happen this weekend and preparations are on their way at Oude Wellington. Among our attractions are our alpacas and their wonderful soft nature. We hope to show our guests and visitors the beauty of these woolly gracious animals. A repeat visitor, Dr. Fisch from Stellenbosch was wearing her alpaca ear rings and I could not resist publishing the photo I took at that occasion. She is a good sport and allowed me to do so. Thank you!
Farming equals repairing and so we are busy doing just this. A recent storm had blown the thatch umbrella apart and today the thatchers have come to fix it again. The last repair lasted just three years and we hope this time it will be for a much longer time.
